Why we are not a faceless provider
Most technology benefit schemes are run by administration companies that resell someone else’s catalogue. TechBenefits is different. We are a technology company that built, owns and runs its own scheme. We like to think of ourselves as the techies, the advisors and the supplier, all in one, with a human touch. Here is what that actually means for you and your employees.
We build and run our own platform
The TechBenefits platform is ours. We built it and we keep improving it, which means we can adapt it to what employers and employees actually need, rather than waiting on a third party. It is also why we can offer things others cannot, like TechRewards, our rewards scheme built right into the platform. When we say we always go further, this is what we mean. If you are new to the idea, our guide to how a salary sacrifice technology scheme works walks through the whole thing.
An authorised dealer, not a middleman
We are an authorised dealer for the brands that matter, including Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, HP and ASUS. That means genuine products, current ranges and real advice from people who know the technology, not a limited list bought in from elsewhere. There are no middlemen between you and your kit, so we control the whole journey from order to delivery.
We repair in-house
If something ever goes wrong, we fix it ourselves. Our own technicians handle repairs in or out of warranty, and we arrange collection and return, so your employees are never left chasing a manufacturer’s helpline. It is a genuine difference, and it is the sort of thing that only a technology company can offer.
A named account manager
You get one dedicated account manager who knows your scheme, not a ticket queue or a call centre. A real person, on the end of the phone, who understands your business and your employees.
Technology only. Tech we know and love
We only offer technology. Not white goods, not furniture, not general household bits and pieces. We think a technology benefit should be about technology, chosen and supported by a team who genuinely know it. Employers tell us they value knowing exactly what their employees are buying, and that it is always real technology. Tech we know and love.
Free for employers, and no hidden costs
The scheme is free for your business to offer and run, with no set-up or admin fees. Employees see any fees, like admin and delivery, clearly at checkout, so there are no surprises. We would always rather be upfront. You can see exactly how much employees save, with a worked example.
Ask any provider
On the surface, technology benefit providers can look much the same. These are the questions that separate a real technology partner from an administration company reselling someone else’s catalogue. Whoever you are considering, ask them these five things, and notice how quickly the differences show.
The five questions worth asking
» Do they build and run their own platform, or resell someone else’s?
If they resell, they cannot adapt it for you or add new features. You get whatever the third party hands them, and so do your employees.
» Are they an authorised dealer, with real product expertise?
Authorised dealers give you genuine products, current ranges and proper advice, rather than a bought-in list and a call centre.
» Do they repair in-house, or send your employees to the manufacturer?
In-house repairs get problems sorted quickly. Without them, your employees are left chasing a helpline while their kit sits broken.
» Do you get one named account manager?
A named contact who knows your scheme beats a ticket queue every time, especially at launch and at renewal.
» Do they stick to technology, or sell fridges and sofas too?
A technology benefit should be about technology. Broadening it into white goods and furniture stretches the point of the benefit, and not every employer wants that.
With TechBenefits, the answer to every one of those is yes. That is the difference between a technology partner and an administration company that happens to sell technology.
