How to print websites to PDF on iOS devices.
If you’re on a website and wish to save a copy of the site for future reference then usually you would create a PDF of the site. This is easy enough to do on a computer but as soon as you head into the world of iOS devices it becomes a bit more secretive!
On an iOS device, navigate to a website that you wish to save the content of. Once there, head to the share icon (figure 1) and from there select print (figure 2).
On the print screen you are usually given the option of which AirPrint printer you would like to connect to and a small preview of the document to be printed (figure 3). The document preview displayed here is actually the PDF that we are trying to save. Depending on device there are a few ways of accessing this. On a newer iPhone with 3D touch you can pinch and pop the image to open it in a separate page or on any other device you can zoom with your fingers to open the PDF instead.
In both cases, with the PDF open you can then choose where to save the document to including a selection of options such as iCloud or you can instead choose to share it again in order to mail it to yourself or a colleague. All of this is achieved once again through the share menu (figure 4).
